Hurricane Rowing Heads to Clemson

The University of Miami Rowing team will head to the state of South Carolina to face future ACC-rival Clemson Sunday, March 21 beginning at 9 a.m. on the waters of Lake Hartwell.
Miami will face Clemson after opening the season with six first-place finishes in last weekend’s First Annual Hurricane Invitational in Miami Beach, while the Tigers take to the water after sweeping seven races against North Carolina over the past weekend.
“Our dual with Clemson will be a great way to finish our spring break training,” Head Coach Debra Morgan said.”This will give us a good measure of where we stand nationwide.”
The Hurricanes last saw action against Clemson at the 2003 Lexus South/Central in Oak Ridge Tenn. where the Tigers edged out Miami in Varsity 8+, First Novice 8+ and the Second Novice 8+.
“We finished just behind Clemson in several events at the Central Sprintsin 2003, so we look forward to a good fight this year,”Morgan added.
