Hurricanes Finish Fourth At UCF Invitational

Orlando, FL (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami women’s cross country team had five runners finish in the top-33 individually en route to a fourth-place finish at the UCF Invitational in Orlando, FL.

The Hurricanes were led by sophomore Marilyn Ruiz (Ft. Lauderdale, FL/St. Thomas Aquinas) who finished 11th with a time of 19:32.30. Senior Melissa Norris (Pembroke Pines, FL/Flanagan) also ran well completing the 5000-meter course in a time of 19:59. Norris finished the race in 19th place.

Rounding out the scoring for Miami were Christian Delgadillo who took 27th (20:52.20), Megan Dwyer who finished 32nd (21:04.20) and Patricia Pearson who placed 44th (21:40.30).

The Hurricanes return to action on Saturday, October 5th at the Gator Invitational in Gainesville, FL.
