Howie-In-The-Hills, FL – University of Miami freshman Tina Miller (Miami Archbishop Curley Notre Dame) fired an opening-round 78 to lead the UM women’s golf team which is in a tie for sixth-place after the first day of competition at the Hatter Fall Classic at Mission Inn Golf Club in Howie-In-The-Hills, FL.
Central Florida (310) leads the team competition while North Carolina State (316) and Michigan (316) are six strokes back. Miami (325) is tied with Charleston Southern and Florida International.
Individually, Miller is tied for fourth. Miami sophomore Camilla Hilland (Lommedalen, Norway) shot an opening-round 79 and is tied for 14th. Sarah Bonner (NC State) and Federica Piovano (UCF) are tied for the lead after recording first-round 75’s.
Second-round action continues on Saturday with the third and final round taking place on Sunday.
