Soccer Travels To Jacksonville For Exhibition Match

CORAL GABLES, Fla.–The University of Miami soccer team travels to Jacksonville, Fla. to battle the Dolphins of Jacksonville University in their final exhibition match Saturday at 1 p.m. at Ashley Sports Complex.

The Hurricanes defeated Lynn University 2-1 in an exhibition match Monday night at Cobb Stadium.

Senior Alexis MacKenzie (Plantation, Fla.) and sophomore Vonda Matthews (Broken Arrow, Okla.) scored the two goals for Miami. Newcomer Britney Butcher (Bothell, Wash.) assisted in both goals scored.

Miami fell 4-3 in overtime to the Dolphins in the regular season last year.

The Hurricanes open the regular season on September 4 with a 7 p.m. match against FAU at Cobb Stadium.
