(www.hurricanesports.com) – University of Miami seniorleft tackle Bryant McKinnie and senior strong safety EdwardReed have both named to The Football News preseason All-America team. Thepublication that has existed since 1939 also named junior quarterback KenDorsey to its second team.
The accolade for McKinnie and Reed is just the latest in a string offirst-team All-America predictions for the seniors, both of whom earnedsimilar status in 2000. Reed was a consensus first-team All-Americaselection while McKinney made the Football News first team last season, aswell. For Dorsey, the selection to second-team status solidifies hisstature as one of college football’s elite quarterbacks.
