Coral Gables, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams travel to Boca Raton, FL to participate in a meet featuring Miami, Florida Atlantic University and the University of North Florida on Saturday, February 3 beginning at 1 p.m. at the FAU pool.

The Hurricane men’s swimming and diving team will take on FAU while the Hurricane women will participate in a tri-meet against FAU and the University of North Florida

In Miami’s first meeting against FAU the Hurricane women defeated the Owl women 161-141 while the Miami men fell 151-141.

Junior Manon Van Rooijen (Holland) will lead the UM women. Van Rooijen won the 100-yard freestyle (52.33) and 200-yard freestyle (1:51.28) against the 7th ranked Florida Gators, last weekend. She has won at least one event in all four meets this season.

Senior Scott Gentles (Atlanta, GA) will lead the UM men. Gentle has paced the Hurricane men thus far with the team’s best times in six events.
