The BIG EAST is sending five teams to postseason bowl games for the first time in its history. The total is tied for fourth nationally among conferences.

The BIG EAST has two 10-win teams in the regular season for the first time in league history. The Conference also has six bowl-eligible teams for the first time in its history.

The BIG EAST is 24-8 (.750) versus non-conference opponents this season. It’s the best winning percentage ever for the conference and highest total of non-league wins since the BIG EAST began round-robin play in 1993.

The BIG EAST has a winning record against nine of the 10 conferences it has faced this season, including undefeated marks against six leagues.

The BIG EAST has drawn over two million fans for the first time in league history. A total of 2,050,710 fans attended games at conference stadiums this season.

The BIG EAST has six 1,000-yard rushers for the first time in its history. The previous high was five in 1993. The league is one of only two conferences in the nation (Big Ten) with six 1,000-yard rushers.

The BIG EAST will be facing two bowl opponents – Iowa State and Mississippi – for the first time (regular season or postseason) since the league was formed in 1991. The BIG EAST has faced its five postseason foes a total of just nine times since ’91.
