Women's Basketball Signs Local Standout Fallon Phanord

CORAL GABLES, FL – Head women’s basketball coach Ferne Labati announces the signing of 5-8 guard Fallon Phanord (Aventura, FL) to a national letter of intent to attend the University of Miami next fall.
Phanord, entering her senior season at Dr. Michael M. Krop High School, averaged 15 points, eight rebounds and four assists last season. She was named the MVP of her team last season and earned All-County honorable mention honors from the Miami Herald.
“Fallon is an explosive player who has the potential to a difference maker at the next level,” said Labati. “Her athletic ability and her desire to improve will play a major role at the college level.”
Phanord is the third player to sign with Miami during the early signing period joining 5-8 point guard Yolonda McCormick (Miami, FL) and 5-11 guard/forward Melissa Knight (Philadelphia, PA) “This is one of the finest recruiting classes we have had,” said Labati. “I have to really compliment my coaching staff on the great job they did in getting these outstanding recruits to sign with Miami.”
