CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s soccer team(3-1-0) return home to face Florida Atlantic on Friday, Sept. 10 at 7 p.m.at Cobb Stadium on the UM campus.

Miami recently took part in the Black Bear Invitational at theUniversity of Maine in Orono. The Hurricanes defeated host-school Maine,2-0, in the first match, but fell to New Hampshire, 2-1, to close outtournament play.

The Hurricanes are led offensively by freshman Allison McWhinney,who leads the team in shots (15), goals (4) and points scored (8).McWhinney tallied the game-winning goal in Miami’s home opening, 2-0, winagainst Long Island on Aug. 31. The UM defense is anchored by Deidre Bassand Lisa Gomez.
