I’m excited to have you be part of this great group for the year. Reading is fundamental to learning and development, and through the reading squad we aim to make reading fun. We have a series of events throughout the year, a monthly reading squad update, and recommended reading from your favorite bird… me! Follow the steps below to join my awesome reading squad.

CLASSROOM CHALLENGE

This is an opportunity for your classroom to compete in a yearlong reading challenge against other local classrooms. The classroom that records the most books at the end of the year wins a visit from Sebastian to their classroom!

How do I enroll in the program?

Participation is easy.

  2. Download the Reading Log
  3. Track your Reading  
  4. Check back in a few weeks and upload your completed reading log  
What are the reading seasons?
  • Fall: October 6 – December 1 
  • WinterJanuary 4 – February 28
  • Spring: March 8 – April 30 
How are reading hours tracked?

Reading hours are independently tracked by students, with teacher or guardian supervision, on the downloadable reading logThe reading log will be updated each reading season. 

How do I submit my reading log?

Yes, your entire classroom can participate. You can individually assign students reading logs or you can keep track of your reading as a classroom.  

How does the program incentive work?

After uploading the completed Reading Log, the parent/guardian/teacher will receive an exclusive invitation to our online celebration.
