The Hurricanes open their season at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta against the defending National Champions Alabama on Saturday, September 4th at 3:30pm.

Parking Information
Parking is available through Mercedes-Benz’s partner, SP Plus. All purchases must be made directly through SP Plus as UM Athletics does not have the ability to sell parking for this event. All parking decks & surface lots have designated ADA parking and they are on a first come first serve basis upon arrival to the lot.

Parking & Transportation Details
Mercedes-Benz Stadium has two pick up/drop-off locations in close proximity to the stadium for fans using rideshare apps.
- Fans are encouraged to exit the stadium at Gate 1, to access the primary and largest zone located at the GWCC Building C (north of the Gold Deck on Northside Drive).
- The secondary location is at the corner of Centennial Olympic Park Drive and Andrew Young International Blvd., and can be easily accessed from Gates 2, 3, or 4. This zone is smaller and may experience longer wait times.
RV parking is available in the Marshalling Lot located on Ivan Allen Blvd., North of the stadium. Those interested in RV or bus parking may purchase parking by logging onto GWCC’s website at https://www.gwcca.org/parking-directions/ for further information.
Due to the limited parking, fans are strongly urged to use the Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) from various stations throughout metropolitan Atlanta. The Philips Arena/GWCC/Georgia Dome and the Vine City Stations both serve Mercedes-Benz Stadium
Pre-Game Tailgate
The Hurricane Club and UM Alumni Association are excited to offer Canes fans a pre-game tailgate experience at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Miami will host donors, alum, and supporters in a dedicated outdoor space with tents, tables, chairs, and TV’s to get ready for the big game.
This event is sold out! Those that have registered will receive an email on August 26 with detailed event information including check-in. See you in Atlanta!
BEAT ’BAMA PEP RALLY

Join the Atlanta ’Canes Community for a Beat ‘Bama PEP RALLY with our local and visiting University of Miami alumni and fans, as we kick off the 2021 Miami Hurricanes football season.
Pep Rally highlights include special guests including Sebastian, live entertainment – DJ, a signature Hurricane cocktail (included with ticket price for those 21 years and older with valid ID), raffle for awesome prizes, and mingling with fellow ’Canes, fans and friends of the U!
Show your Miami Hurricanes spirit, and celebrate with your fellow ’Canes, special guests and live entertainment. Don’t forget to wear your ’Canes colors and favorite gear!
Tickets are $10 with all proceeds to benefit the Atlanta ’Canes Community Scholarship Fund. (Children 3 years of age and younger are free.)

Alabama will wear their white uniforms and Miami will wear their dark uniforms. Exact jersey/pant combo is TBD.

- Both bands will participate in the pre-game and halftime show.
- UM Band will be positioned in the lower rows of section 116 during the game
- Mercedes-Benz Stadium is now a cashless venue. If you do not bring a credit or debit card there are ten cash-to-card kiosks that will be available. Guests will be able to feed the cash into the machine and obtain a pre-paid debit card with the same amount with no transaction fee. These cards can be utilized as any other pre-paid debit card or credit card within the stadium as well as outside the stadium.

Bags must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”. Bags cannot be tinted with color or include oversized content that prevents visibility into the clear bag.
- Mercedes-Benz Stadium management is responsible for enforcing the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game’s policies in this area. Patrons shall be encouraged to return non-permissible items to their automobiles, when applicable.
- Abusive, foul or disruptive language
- Alcohol, illegal drugs or harmful chemicals
- Animals(except service animals to aid guests with disabilities)
- Aerosol cans or pressurized containers
- Bags that do not follow The Mercedes – Benz Stadium clear bag policy (please see Bag Policy)
- Batteries: Electric or battery operated apparel, or signs. Including loose batteries or items with loose batteries.
- Bottles, cans and beverage containers of any kind
- Cameras with lens longer than 6″ (detachable or non-detachable)
- Chairs, booster seats, stools or other seating devices
- Food items
- Hover-boards
- Inflated balls, including beach balls, or any missile or object that can be used as a projectile
- Interference with the progress of the event (including throwing objects)
- Knives of any length
- Large Umbrellas – Must be under 33 inches to be allowed in the building.

- Lights
- Masks related to health provisions are permitted; Other masks that cover or conceal identity are not permitted
- Noisemakers, including but not limited to, whistles and horns
- Pyrotechnics, firearms and weapons of any kind or any other item or action deemed dangerous or inappropriate
- Signs or flags (no larger than 3’ X 5’), shakers, pom-poms or any item with a pole or stick.
