The University of Miami, one of the nation’s finest institutions of higher education, shows an unparalleled dedication to academics. While Miami’s athletic successes are well documented; the University’s commitment to academics is second to none. Hurricane athletes have a wealth of resources and programs available to them as they work towards earning their degrees. UM’s Academic Services/Life Skills Department, along with a wide-range of campus resources, has established a unique academic support program that serves to enhance the life of the student-athlete.
A staff of 11 professionals provide direction for UM’s student-athletes in academic advising in conjunction with advisors in the respective Dean’s offices, study table monitoring, career planning, eligibility, life skills and a host of other advice oriented services.
