Josh Collins is the IT Manager for Athletics Information Technology (AIT). Josh began as a Systems Administrator before shortly being promoted to IT Manager, a role he has held for the since 2026.
Josh is a seasoned collegiate athletics technology professional whose career spans some of the most recognized programs in the country, including the University of Texas Athletics and Texas A&M University Athletics, where he served as both Helpdesk Manager and IT Manager. He is a U.S. Navy veteran, having served as an Information Technology Specialist, and brings that same discipline and precision to everything he leads.
His passion is optimizing workflows and making technology work smarter for the people who rely on it. Whether automating computer deployments, modernizing helpdesk systems, or building tools that reduce burden on his team, Josh approaches every challenge with the goal of making things simpler, faster, and more effective. Under his leadership, AIT continues to raise the bar for service delivery and operational excellence within University of Miami Athletics.
Josh is proficient across a wide range of platforms including Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune, Azure AD, AutoPilot, SharePoint, Active Directory, and Deskpro. He has a track record of high-impact results — including a helpdesk deployments that drastically reduced SLA times and increased user satisfaction.
