Michael Casinelli, originally from Shelton, Connecticut, joined the University of Miami in June 2026 as a Sports Physical Therapy Resident.
Michael earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Springfield College in 2024. During his time at Springfield College, he was a member of the football team for five years. Following graduation, he worked as a physical therapist in an outpatient orthopedic setting at Connecticut Orthopaedics in Orange, Connecticut.
Since graduating, Michael has earned certifications in Dry Needling, Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level 1, Champion Performance Specialist, and Emergency Responder for Athletes.
Outside of the clinic, Michael enjoys working out, spending time with his fiancé, family, and friends, and watching sports.
