Julia Kincade

Julia Kincade serves as the Assistant Athletic Director of Business Operations at the University of Miami. She joined the Hurricanes as the Assistant Director of Athletic Accounting in 2015, was promoted to Associate Director in 2017, again to Associate Director of Business Operations of Budget & Reporting in 2019 and has held her current role since January 2020.

In her current role, Kincade works closely with coaches and staff in the development, preparation, refinement and review of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports for the executive/senior staff, head coaches and University budget office of current fiscal year financial position and projected current fiscal year finishing position. In addition, she works hand-in-hand with all units to develop an annual zero-based budget, as well as execute interdepartmental budget training. Kincade analyzes current budget trends and interprets financial data to make resource allocation recommendations as well as assisting in the facilitation of strategic financial planning including the annual operating budget, the five-year operating budget plan, and the five-year capital plan. She also provides oversight of both the purchasing and revenue functions within the business office.

In her previous roles, Kincade oversaw audits for ticketed sports, handed daily revenue recognition and reconciliation for all ticket office transactions, worked with University Advancement and the Hurricane Club to recognize gift revenue, oversaw budget management for both the volleyball and baseball teams, and fulfilled ticketing revenue share reports with Hard Rock Stadium.

Kincade has had experience in the sports industry prior to coming to Coral Gables, serving as box office manager to the Arizona Coyotes for over four years. She has also worked in ticket operations for Sporting Kansas City (2010-2011) and the Springfield Falcons of Springfield, Mass. (2008-2010).

Kincade graduated Magna Cum Laude from Springfield College (Mass.) in 2008 with her B.S. in Sport Management and minors in both Business Management and Economics. She earned her master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Miami in 2019.
