A national champion coach with over 17 years of collegiate experience, Jim Garren has made an immediate impact since joining the Miami Hurricanes in 2023. Under his guidance, Miami has secured five team titles, made it to the NCAA Regionals in 2024 and 2025, and established multiple program scoring records. Garren has coached an All-American, developed four individual champions, and guided Sara Byrne to selections for both the 2024 Palmer Cup and Curtis Cup representing Europe.
Before joining the Hurricanes, Garren led Coastal Carolina to a Sun Belt Conference Championship, an NCAA Regional berth, and earned Sun Belt Coach of the Year honors. His Coastal teams produced eight All-Sun Belt performers, five team titles, six individual titles, and recorded the program’s first multi-team win season in over a decade: posting six top five finishes, the most in more than ten years.
Garren’s career includes 24 team titles across four Division I programs, highlighted by national, regional, and multiple conference championships at Oklahoma, New Mexico, Coastal Carolina, and Miami.
