Delver Del Retana is an IT Support Specialist with Athletics Information Technology (AIT). A proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served as a Corporal with the 2nd Air Delivery Platoon and completed two deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Del brings a disciplined, mission-focused approach to every challenge he takes on.
Before joining AIT, Del built a strong foundation in higher education technology at Florida International University, where he worked as an Applications Business Analyst supporting PeopleSoft production environments, EAB Navigate system administration, and data reporting for academic advising units. His earlier roles at FIU spanned enrollment operations, international admissions, and office administration — giving him a uniquely broad perspective on how technology intersects with institutional mission.
Del holds a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration and two bachelor’s degrees — one in Information Technology and one in English — all from Florida International University. He specializes in application troubleshooting, system administration, PeopleSoft ERP, database querying, and user support documentation.
