David Atkins was promoted to his current role of Director, Ticket Operations & Revenue Generation in February of 2025.
Prior to his current position, Atkins served as Coordinator, Revenue Generation. In this role he was responsible for a wide range of initiatives across all areas of revenue generation.
Atkins joined the University of Miami’s Ticket Sales team as an Account Executive in January of 2022 and was promoted to Senior Account Executive in January of 2023. In this position, Atkins was responsible for generating new business through both general consumer and corporate revenue streams in the form of season tickets and premium and group experiences.
Prior to coming to joining the Hurricanes, Atkins was a Ticket Sales Executive for the Orange Bowl Committee during their record breaking 2021 College Football Playoff season. Prior to the Orange Bowl Committee, David was a Graduate Assistant at Florida State University’s College of Education in the Sport Management Department.
Atkins is a lifelong Canes fan that grew up only a few blocks away from campus. He graduated from Florida State University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management and in 2021 with a Master of Science in Sport Management and from the University of Miami in May of 2024 with a Master of Science in Business Analytics.
