2005: Recorded one start in 18 matches played…registered three points, scoring one goal with one assist…recorded a total of 17 shots with nine on goal…scored her lone goal of the season against Stetson (8/31/05).

High School: Four-year letterwinner at Gulliver Prep from 2002-05…led Gulliver Prep to a district title all four years…was named the Miami Herald’s Player of the Year in 2004, the Dade County Coaches Player of the Year in 2004 and 2005 and the District Player of the Year in 2004 and 2005…earned All-Dade County and All-State honors in 2003, 2004 and 2005.

Club: Played for Miami Strike Force and Miami Premiere under former UM assistant coach Melissa Starman.

Olympic Development Program: Played for the 2002 ODP Florida State team under former UM head coach Jim Blankenship.

Personal: Born Valeria, goes by “Val”…undeclared major … in high school, was the president of Girl Power, an organization dedicated to helping inner city girls focus on sports and education…named the 2005 Gulliver Prep Homecoming Queen.
