CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Miami cross country programs are set for the 2026 ACC Championship this week, as Virginia Tech will host the event at the Buford Meredith Cross Country Course on Friday, Oct. 30.

The men’s team will race the 8k first, kicking off the event at 10:10 a.m. followed by the women’s 6k at 11 a.m.

John Templeton has led the Hurricanes in every race during his freshman campaign. He is coming off his best 8k time of the season two weeks ago at the Joe Handelman ’52 Fall Classic, finishing in 25:04.4.

Jake Rimmel and Michael Brunet have also been consistent for the Hurricanes, crossing the finish line as one of Miami’s top three finishers.

Madeline Scheier has continued her impressive career for the Hurricanes, leading Miami in all four races. Scheier’s best 6k time of the season came at the FSU Pre-Regional on Sept. 18, as she posted a 21:07 to finish fourth overall.

Emma Hencock and Lucia Rodbro have also been part of Miami’s top finishers throughout the season. Hencock will race in her fourth ACC Championship while Rodbro will represent the Hurricanes in her second.

The top-21 finishers in both the men’s 8k and women’s 6k on Friday will receive ACC All-conference honors.
