CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The University of Miami women's golf team finished seventh at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational Sunday afternoon, carding a 25-over-par (877) across three rounds at UNC Finley Golf Club.
Highlighting the final round was Bella Dovhey, who recorded a hole-in-one on her third hole of the day. Dovhey finished Sunday's round at even-par 71, securing a tie for 30th individually at 8-over-par (221).
Ashleen Kaur led the Hurricanes individually, finishing tied for 18th at 4-over-par (217). Kaur posted Miami's lowest round of the day, carding a 1-under-par to climb the individual leaderboard.
Scarlett Schremmer followed in a tie for 23rd at 6-over-par with rounds of 72, 75, and 72. Barbora Bujáková finished tied for 36th at 10-over-par (223) while Olivia Grønborg rounded out Miami's lineup tied for 45th at 12-over-par shooting 70, 79, and 76.
As a team, Miami improved by 17 strokes from Saturday's second round, posting a 3-over-par 287 in Sunday's finale. The Hurricanes moved up one spot on the team leaderboard to secure seventh place among 14 competing teams.
The Hurricanes will return to action on Sunday, Jan. 31, when they travel to Palos Verdes, Calif., to compete in the Therese Hession Regional Challenge at Palos Verdes Golf Club. Tee times will be announced at a later date.
