CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Miami men’s and women’s cross-country programs will continue their season this weekend, traveling to South Bend, Indiana for the Joe Piane – Notre Dame Invitational.
The Hurricane women are coming off a third-place finish while the men claimed eighth at the FSU Pre-Regional on Sept. 18. Madeline Scheier led the women with a fourth-place overall finish followed by Emma Hencock who rounded out the top-25.
Freshman John Templeton continued to lead the men, finishing the 8K in 25:15.8. Cason Mitchell and Alex Severson were the next two finishers for the Hurricanes.
The women will kick off racing at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 2 with the 5K followed by the men’s 8K at 10:40 a.m. Miami will be joined by fellow ACC schools Clemson, NC State, and host Notre Dame, with the Wolfpack only competing in the women’s race.
