CORAL GABLES, Fla. - Miami quarterback Darian Mensah earned three national weekly honors following his performance in the Hurricanes’ 45-6 win at Stanford.

Mensah was named the Senior Bowl Offensive Player of the Week, selected to the Davey O’Brien Award Great 8 and named a Manning Award Star of the Week.

The redshirt junior completed 27 of 30 passes for 401 yards and five touchdowns in his Miami debut. Miami scored touchdowns on six of its first seven possessions and finished with 549 yards of total offense.

His performance made him one of three quarterbacks since 2021 to complete at least 90% of his passes while throwing for 400 or more yards and five or more touchdowns in a game.

Mensah’s selection to the Davey O’Brien Great 8 also places him on the award’s midseason watch list. The Davey O’Brien Foundation selects eight quarterbacks each week during the first nine weeks of the season for the honor.

Miami returns home Thursday to face Florida A&M at Hard Rock Stadium. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. on ACC Network and WQAM 104.3 FM.
