CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami volleyball team fell to UCLA, 3-0, Saturday at Freeman Indoor Stadium at the Knight Sports Complex.

Offensively, the Hurricanes (0-4) hit .271 as a team and were led by Asia Harvey, who led the match with 17 kills. Ella Thompson added eight kills as Ariana Rodriguez registered 29 assists.

Set 1: UCLA 26, Miami 24
The first set was tightly contested as neither team led by more than two in the opening frame. UCLA led at the media timeout, 15-13, before the Hurricanes came back to take the lead, 19-18, following an Ariana Rodriguez ace. Miami led 22-20 but the Bruins were able to win six of the final eight points to win the set.

Set 2: UCLA 25, Miami 23
Miami led early in the second set, 11-8, before UCLA went on a 5-1 run to take a 13-12 lead. The Hurricanes battled back and took the lead at the media timeout, 15-14, following an Asia Harvey kill. Logan Wiley gave Miami a 23-22 advantage with a kill, but the Bruins won the final three points to take the set.

Set 3: UCLA 25, Miami 23
The Hurricanes led early, 7-3, prior to UCLA taking a 15-14 advantage at the media timeout. After the Bruins extended their lead to three, the Hurricanes battled back to tie the game at 19 before taking a 23-22 lead. UCLA took the final three points and capped off the match with back-to-back aces.
