CORAL GABLES, Fla. – On Thursday, Head Coach Jose “Keno” Gandara announced Abby (Casiano) High ’23 will join the Miami Volleyball coaching staff ahead of the 2026 campaign.
High came to Miami in 2022, transferring from Syracuse to play her final two collegiate seasons under Gandara. She played in all 30 matches and 109 total sets, matching her season-high 212 total points. Additionally, High ranked sixth in the ACC in hitting percentage (.337) and ninth in attack percentage (.632), leading the Hurricanes.
She finished her senior campaign with 155 kills, a career high, 103 total blocks to rank fourth overall in blocks per set (.94), and 26 digs.
High returned for her fifth-year in the 2023 season, starting 21 matches and appearing in 79 sets. She finished the season with 90 kills, 1.14 kills per set, 69 blocks and 128 total points, including a season-high 12 vs. FAU.
Following her time in Coral Gables, High took her playing career abroad to the FO Vrilissia in Athens, Greece. The team finished sixth overall in the Greek Women’s Pre League and competed for the Greek Cup.
