CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Following top five team finishes at the Florida Intercollegiate Cross-Country Invitational two weeks ago, the Miami Hurricanes return to action at the FSU Pre-Regional hosted by Florida State in Tallahassee, Friday.
The women were led by Madeline Scheier and Emma Hencock last time out as Scheier posted the second-best time of the field, finishing the 5K in 17:23.88. Hencock rounded out the top-ten finishers with a ninth-place finish, her highest career cross country finish.
On the men’s side, freshman John Templeton was the top finisher for the Hurricanes, claiming ninth with a 15:06.52 5K. Jake Rimmel finished just outside the top 20, earning 21st overall as Miami’s second finisher.
The FSU Pre-Regional is set to begin at 7:40 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 18. The men will race the 8K followed by the women’s 6K at 8:20 a.m. Live results from the meet can be found here.
