CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Miami head swimming coach Andy Kershaw released the program’s 2026-27 swimming & diving schedule Friday.
Miami opens its slate against Ohio and North Florida in a two-day meet from Oct. 2-3. The program will take trips to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to compete against Alabama (Oct. 30-31), Iowa City, Iowa to take part in the Hawkeye Invite (Nov. 17-20) and will also compete against rival Florida State in Tallahassee (Jan. 22).
“One of the great byproducts of our location at the tip of Florida is that we are not locked into competing against the same teams we can drive to every year,” Kershaw said. “This gives us the chance to take our team to different locations every year which enhances the student-athlete experience.”
Miami’s men’s diving contingent will compete against Florida from Oct. 15-16 in Gainesville, Fla., and the entire unit will compete in the University of Texas Diving Invitational in Austin, Texas from Nov. 11-14.
The Hurricanes will compete against a number of impressive teams across the country as they ultimately prepare for the ACC Championships (Feb. 16-20) and NCAA Championships (March 17-27).
“We are really excited about the diversity of this schedule,” Kershaw said. “We will have the chance to compete against great teams from many different conferences. We are in the fastest women’s swimming conference in the country, which is a great privilege.
“Having the opportunity to compete against some of the best swimmers in the country throughout the year is an essential part of preparation for our success at ACC Championships.
Miami’s home slate includes matchups with Iowa and Notre Dame (January 5), FIU (January 14) and the Ibis Invitational (Feb. 12).
The Hurricanes will also co-host Dual-A-Pool-Ooza against FIU, Vanderbilt and Liberty, a two-day event across the Whitten Pool (Oct. 23) and at FIU (Oct. 24).
“We are excited to host a big group of great programs.,” Kershaw said. “Our home meets are unique to any other location I have ever been and we hope to use that to our advantage. We look forward to having a lot of fans come out to support us in our great environment and show everyone what it means to be a Miami Hurricane.”
