WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The University of Miami women’s golf team made a statement in its first tournament of the 2026-27 season, claiming both the team and individual titles on Tuesday at the Boilermaker Classic.
The Hurricanes finished the 54-hole tournament with a team score of 854, carding rounds of 282, 294 and a tournament best 10 under (278) in Tuesday’s final round to secure the title.
Scarlett Schremmer led the way for Miami, capturing the individual championship at six under par following rounds of 68, 75 and 67. Schremmer entered the final round three spots off the lead before shooting five below par to confirm her spot at the top of the leaderboard.
The sophomore was exceptional on Tuesday morning, recording four birdies over a six hole stretch on the front nine to make the turn standing at -4. Schremmer added birdies on holes 16 and 17 on the back nine to finish the day with six birdies to secure the individual crown.
Olivia Grønborg joined Schremmer inside the top three, finishing tied for third at -2 after rounds of 74, 73 and 67. Grønborg matched Schremmer’s five under in the final round, using seven birdies to climb 12 spots on the individual leaderboard.
Freshman Bella Dovhey recorded a top 10 finish in her collegiate debut, placing eighth at even par after rounds of 71, 75 and 70. Her final round was highlighted by an eagle on the 16th hole and birdies on holes 10 and 15.
Barbora Bujáková finished tied for 20th at six over following rounds of 69, 71 and 82. Her opening round 69 marked her best score of the tournament, highlighted by six birdies.
Anna Behnsen rounded out Miami’s lineup in a tie for 58th at 17 over following rounds of 80, 79 and 74.
Ashleen Kaur also represented the Hurricanes at the Boilermaker Classic, competing as an individual. Kaur finished tied for 54th at 16 over following rounds of 82, 76 and 74.
