University of Miami Student-Athletes Earn Degrees at Spring Commencement

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – During spring commencement exercises this week at the University of Miami, 85 student-athletes are set to earn their undergraduate or graduate degrees.

“Graduation is a milestone moment for our student-athletes, and I couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments,” Vice President/Director of Athletics Dan Radakovich said. “They have competed at the highest level while challenging themselves academically. I can’t wait to see where their life’s journey takes them from here and I hope to see them return to campus, engaging as proud University of Miami alumni.”

All 18 of the University’s athletic programs are represented at commencement, led by the rowing team with 14 graduates. The full list of graduates includes first-team All-ACC men’s basketball selection Malik Reneau; ACC heptathlon champion Edgar Campre; track and field All-American Gabriella Grissom; and NCAA singles qualifiers Antonio Prat and Raquel Gonzalez from tennis. Former student-athletes graduating include former Major League Baseball pitcher and recent UM Sports Hall of Fame inductee Bryan Garcia.
