Miami Closes Out Hurricane Alumni Invitational with Four Wins

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami track and field team closed out the Hurricane Alumni Invitational with four victories Saturday at Cobb Stadium.

Magdaline Campo won the high jump with a clearance of 1.83m, which ties for the second-highest clearance in school history and currently ranks in the top 10 nationally.

In the decathlon, Steven Franco and Dominique Hall registered top-five marks in school history. Franco won the event with 7,231 points, which ranks fourth all-time and Hall compiled 7,066 points, the fifth-best mark in school annals.

Deisiane Teixiera won the women’s javelin with a throw of 50.43m. Pablo Delgado registered a distance of 15.23m in the triple jump to place first.

Nandy Kihuyu and Iyonna Codd finished second and third in the women’s 400m at 52.98 and 53.86, respectively.

Lexi Arambulo (4:36.71) and Alex Severson (4:02.23) registered third-place finishes in the 1500m. In the women’s 100m hurdle final, Zuzanna Zajac placed third with a time of 13.90.

Robert Joseph ran a 48.09 in the men’s 400m to take third.

Miami returns to action Friday and Saturday as they compete in the Tom Jones Invitational in Gainesville, Florida.
