Miami Hosts Final Home Meet of Season

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami track and field team hosts its final home meet of the outdoor season, the Hurricane Alumni Invitational, at Cobb Stadium beginning Friday.

Action gets underway at 10 a.m. with the heptathlon as the decathlon begins at 10:30 a.m. On Saturday, the men’s and women’s javelin begins at 10 a.m. while running events are slated to begin 2:20 p.m.

Miami enters the meet with several top-20 marks in the country. In her outdoor opener, Sanaa Hebron clocked a 55.57 in the 400m hurdles, which ranks fourth nationally. Adriana Kruzmane holds the second-longest mark in the triple jump at 13.48 while Dominique Johnson is 16th at 13.00m.

Tyson Schiele ranks 10th in the javelin with a distance 73.29m while Desmond Coleman is 15th in the discus with a throw of 59.42. The women’s 4×400 relay ranks 12th with a time of 3:33.05.
