Miami Falls to Clemson, 4-0

CLEMSON, S.C. – The University of Miami women’s tennis team (11-4, 7-2 ACC) fell, 4-0, to the No. 22 Clemson Tigers (16-4, 6-2 ACC) on Sunday afternoon.

Clemson earned the doubles point with wins on all three courts, with No. 83 Talia Neilson-Gatenb and Romana Cisovska took court two, 6-0, over Sofia Rocchetti and Sebastianna Scilipoti, while No. 29 Rinon Okuwaki and Jade Groen defeated Raquel Gonzalez and Dominika Podhajecka, 6-4, at the top court.

In singles, Cisovska took down Scilipoti, 6-2, 6-1, on court three, Groen secured the 6-2, 6-2 win over No. 101 Rocchetti on two and Podhajecka fell 7-5, 6-2 to Aslanisvili.

The Hurricanes return home to face Syracuse and Boston College on April 3 and 5, respectively.
