Farouk Wraps Miami's Run at NCAA Championships

ATLANTA — Veteran diver Mohamed Farouk capped Miami’s run at the NCAA Men’s Swimming & Diving Championships Saturday at the McAuley Aquatic Center.

Farouk posted a score of 326.85 on the men’s platform, finishing 25th in the field.

Farouk’s top effort on the afternoon was his third dive, an inward 3 1/2 somersault tuck that scored him 73.60 points. He scored more than 50 points on four of his six dives during preliminaries.

Saturday marked Farouk’s second event in his final collegiate postseason. The Egypt native was recognized with Honorable Mention All-America honors Friday on the 3-meter springboard.

Farouk ended an impressive week for Miami that included a combined five All-America honors between Farouk, Matteo Santoro and Jake Passmore.
