Kruzmane Earns ACC Co-Field Athlete of the Week Honor

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – University of Miami freshman Adriana Kruzmane was named the ACC’s Co-Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

At the Hurricane Invitational, the team’s outdoor opener, Kruzmane won the triple jump with a distance of 13.16m. The mark is the longest in the country by 3.5 inches.

The Lecava, Latvia, native is coming off a strong indoor season in which she placed second at the ACC Indoor Championships with a jump of 13.11m.

Kruzmane and the Hurricanes return to action Friday and Saturday for the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational held at Cobb Stadium.
