Miami Secures Undefeated Weekend
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.– The University of Miami men’s tennis team (10-8, 3-5 ACC) capped off an undefeated weekend with a 4-0 sweep over the Boston College Eagles (4-10, 0-8 ACC) on Sunday afternoon.
The Hurricanes notched the doubles point with wins on court two and three. Antonio Prat and Rafael Segado took the 6-4 win over Matthew Overvelde and Aidan Pack on two, while Nacho Serra Sanchez and Jules Garot secured it on three with a 6-4 win over Luke Levanat and Lukas Rais.
Singles followed up strong, earning three straight for the victory. Serra Sanchez defeated Matthew Carioscia, 6-4, 6-4, on court two, while Prat extended the lead with a 6-4, 6-2 win against Mai Gao.
Segado then clinched the Miami win after a 6-1, 7-5 win over Overvelde. The Hurricanes return home to face Delaware on Wednesday.
