Miami Golf Places 11th at Briar’s Creek Invitational, Event Shortened to 36 Holes
KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C.— The University of Miami women’s golf team closed out play at the Briar’s Creek Invitational with an 11th-place finish, posting a team score of 591 (+15).
Due to inclement weather, the tournament was shortened to 36 holes over two rounds of play.
Cloe Amion Villarino and Ashleen Kaur led the Hurricanes, each tying for 34th place with a final score of 75 (+3). Amion Villarino carded a 73 (+1) in the final round, while Kaur posted an even-par 72 to pace Miami and close out play strong.
Rebekah Gardner was next for the Canes finishing tied for 42nd after shooting an even-par 72 in the second round to close play with a combined 76. Stella Jelinek followed, placing tied for 56th with a final score of 78 (+6).
Barbora Bujáková rounded out the Hurricanes’ lineup, finishing tied for 76th after carding an 82 (+10) in round one and 75 (+3) in round two, for a combined +13.
Miami will return to action from Mar. 27 to Mar. 29 in Sunset, S.C. to compete at the Clemson Invitational.
