Radakovich Earns NACDA Athletics Director of the Year Honor

CLEVELAND — The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) announced Monday the 28 winners of the 2025-26 NACDA Athletics Director of the Year Award and University of Miami Vice President/Director of Athletics Dan Radakovich was one of four winners at the Division I Football Bowl Subdivision level.

The ADOY Award highlights the efforts of athletics directors at all levels for their commitment and positive contributions to student-athletes, campuses and their surrounding communities. The other three FBS winners for this year were Lisa Campos (UTSA), Joe Castiglone (Oklahoma) and Scott Dolson (Indiana). Winners will be recognized in conjunction with the 61st Annual NACDA & Affiliates Convention at Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, Nev., on Tuesday, June 9.

Radakovich, who arrived at Miami in December 2021, is one of the nation’s most decorated and successful college athletics administrators. His tenure at Miami includes the football team’s run to the College Football Playoff Championship Game this past season; the men’s basketball program’s first ever Final Four appearance in 2023; the women’s basketball’s program first ever Elite Eight appearance in 2023; five individual NCAA champions; and a school record Graduation Success Rate of 94 percent in the NCAA’s most recent report.

Nominators were NACDA-member directors of athletics, institutional presidents and conference commissioners, as well as other respected intercollegiate athletics administrators. Special Divisional Selection Committees composed of current directors of athletics voted on nominees for the award.
