Miami Women’s Golf Places Fourth at Gators Invitational Behind Gardner’s Top 10 Finish
GAINESVILLE, Fla.— The University of Miami women’s golf team closed out play at the Gators Invitational with a strong fourth-place finish, posting a combined 28-over par across three rounds at Mark Bostick Golf Course.
Rebekah Gardner led Miami, tying for ninth place at 1-over par to pace the Hurricanes. Gardner’s steady play across the three-day tournament marked Miami’s highest individual placement of the event.
Ashleen Kaur followed closely behind, earning a tied-for-19th finish at 6-over par to give the Hurricanes a second top 20 performance in Gainesville.
Stella Jelinek was next for the Canes, placing tied for 34th at 9-over par. Cloe Amion Villarino contributed to the Miami’s team effort with a tied-for-48th finish at 15-over par.
Barbora Bujáková rounded out Miami’s lineup, finishing tied for 65th at 21-over par.
As a unit, the Hurricanes finished fourth overall with a team score of 868 (+28) in the three-round tournament hosted by the University of Florida.
The Hurricanes will return to action Monday, Mar. 16 through Tuesday, Mar. 17, competing at the Briar’s Creek Invitational in Kiawah Island, S.C., hosted by the College of Charleston.
