Jelinek Leads Miami Golf to Seventh-Place Finish at UNF Collegiate
JACKSONVILLE, Fla.— The University of Miami women’s golf team closed out the Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate action at No. 7, shooting a combined 59 over par.
Stella Jelinek led Miami, tying for 24th place at 13-over par to pace the Hurricanes. Jelinek’s third and final round in Jacksonville was elite, shooting -2 on Tuesday afternoon. Jelinek’s overall score of +13 marked Miami’s highest individual placement of the two-day event.
Barbora Bujáková was next for the Canes, jumping four spots in the third round to tie at No. 32, shooting 15-over par. Ashleen Kaur added another top 40 finish for Miami, placing tied for 39th at 17-over par.
Cloe Amion Villarino contributed to Miami’s overall effort, finishing tied for 50th at 21-over par, while Rebekah Gardner rounded out the Hurricanes’ lineup, placing tied for 58th at 24-over par.
The Hurricanes will return to action Friday, Mar. 6 through Sunday, Mar. 8, competing at the Gators Invitational, hosted by the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla.
