Four Questions
Q: Why did you choose Miami?
A: I chose Miami for so many reasons such as the weather. Coming from London, the sun isn’t guaranteed even in the summer so coming to a place where there is year-round sunshine is so exciting. I also love how culturally rich the city is. There is also such amazing facilities here that I feel so lucky to be able to use such as Cobb Stadium and the huge weight room and there is such a good atmosphere within the team where everyone pushes each other to be their best self.
Q: How has your time at Miami been so far?
A: I have really enjoyed my time here so far and feel like I have settled in well. Being part of the track and field team has definitely played a big role in my time here as a study abroad student. From day one I have felt really welcomed onto the team which has helped me feel at home here.
Q: What has been your favorite part of being a Hurricane?
A: I love the team spirit. I feel like everyone supports each other within their sports but also across other sports which helps it feel like a big family which helps when you are living away from your family.
Q: What has been the biggest adjustment for you since you arrived?
A: The biggest adjustment was probably learning how to balance everything – academics, training, recover and still finding time to rest and enjoy my time here. The practices here are more intense than at home so factoring in recovery has been really important for me.
