Hurricanes Travel to Alabama for NCAA South Regional Championships

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The University of Miami cross country teams hit the road to compete in the NCAA South Regional Championships held at the John Hunt Cross Country Course.

The meet begins at 9:30 a.m. with the women’s 6k before the men’s 10k at 10:30 a.m. The top two teams in each race secure an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships and the first four regional finishers not from an automatic qualifying or at-large team secure an auto-bid to the championships.

Miami is coming off the ACC Championships in which the men’s team was led by Colten Morris, who ran the fourth-fastest time in program history in the 8K with a time of 24:34.2. On the women’s side, Maddie Scheier led the way with a time of 21:20.8.
