 
            Canes, Hokies Battle to Scoreless Draw in Season Finale
BLACKSBURG, Va.– The University of Miami women’s soccer team battled Virginia Tech to a 0-0 draw Thursday evening at Thompson Field.
The Canes (7-8-3 overall, 1-7-2 ACC) earned their final point in conference play this season. The Hokies also closed out the 2025-26 season Thursday evening, now holding an overall record of 4-10-4, and going 0-8-2 in ACC play.
Miami’s Atlee Olofson tallied her third start of the season and recorded a career high nine saves. Olofson had four saves in the first half and 5 in the second, leaving the Hokies scoreless for all 90 minutes.
Offensively, Miami was led by Teegan Melenhorst recording two shots on goal and three total. Four other Canes had attempts on net for a game total of seven shots.
