Hurricanes Set to Compete at FSU XC Invite
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The University of Miami cross country teams return to the course Friday as they compete in the FSU XC Invite at Apalachee Regional Park.
The men’s 8k is slated to begin at 7:40 a.m. with the women’s 6k scheduled for an 8:20 a.m. start.
The Hurricanes opened the season at the Southern Showcase where Maddie Scheier clocked a 17:04.48 in the women’s 5k to break the school record. Scheier placed 12th to help Miami finish 12th in the 54-team field.
On the men’s side, Sukai Truxal registered the seventh-fastest time in program history to lead the men’s team to a 12th-place finish.
