Hurricanes Complete First Tournament of 2025-26 Season
CHARLESTON, S.C. – The University of Miami golf team completed its first tournament of the 2025-26 season with a 14th-place finish at the Cougar Classic.
The Hurricanes shot 22-over and were led by newcomer Stella Jelinik, who placed 28th at 1-over for the tournament. Jelinek fired a 2-under 69 Tuesday with a trio of birdies on holes 3, 10 and 15.
Rebekah Gardner placed 42nd at 4-over followed by Ashleen Kaur, who finished 52nd at 6-over. Cloe Amion Villarino shot a 2-over 73 in the final round to finish 75th at 11-over as Katie Carman finished 96th at 29-over.
Miami returns to action Sept. 22-24 at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic in Vail, Colorado.
