
Gandara Announces 2025 Schedule
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Head volleyball coach Jose “Keno” Gandara announced the Miami Hurricanes’ full schedule for the upcoming 2025 season on Tuesday.
Coming off their fourth straight NCAA postseason appearance, the Hurricanes will start the regular season hosting the Canes Classic where they will face Indiana for the third consecutive season on August 29 and Ohio State in back-to-back seasons on August 30.
Miami will then compete in the 305 Challenge where they host Drake and North Texas on September 4 and 5, respectively, and driving cross-town on September 6 to face FIU.
The Hurricanes then play in ESPN’s inaugural “Showdown at the Net”, which will feature 16 ACC vs. SEC matchups. Miami was chosen to face Ole Miss on September 10 at the Knight Sports Complex.
In Miami’s lone trip out of Florida for the non-conference slate, the team will travel to Normal, Ill., for the Linda Herman Classic, hosted by Illinois State. They will face the Redbirds first on September 12 before taking on Illinois on September 13.
Returning to Coral Gables, Fla., for the last weekend before conference season, the Hurricanes will share hosting the 305 Invitational from September 18-20. Coastal Carolina will compete against Miami in the Knight Sports Complex first before FGCU plays the following day. For the final day, Miami will make its way back to FIU to take on the Panthers.
The Hurricanes will start their conference campaign in Atlanta, Ga., when they face Georgia Tech on Sept. 26 before traveling to South Carolina to take on Clemson on Sept. 28. Miami will then head to North Carolina to matchup with NC State on Oct. 3 and Wake Forest on Oct. 5.
The first ACC matchups in the Knight Sports Complex will be Pitt on Oct. 10, followed by SMU making their first 305 trip on Oct. 12. Miami then heads west to face Cal on Oct. 16 and Stanford on Oct. 19, marking their first California trip with the new ACC additions.
Miami goes on to have its longest ACC home slate of the season, starting with Virginia Tech and Virginia on Oct. 24 and 26, respectively, and Boston College on Oct. 31 and Syracuse on Nov. 2. They close out the home stretch with in-state rival Florida State on Nov. 5 for a mid-week showdown.
The Hurricanes will have back-to-back matches against the Seminoles as they face off on Nov. 8 in Tallahassee. Then, Miami will have their last full weekend on the road as they play against Notre Dame on Nov. 14 and 2024 National Runners-Up Louisville on Nov. 16.
Closing out the Knight for the season, Miami will host Duke and North Carolina on Nov. 21 and 23, respectively, before their final home match versus NC State on Nov. 26. For their last matchup, the Hurricanes travel to face the Tarheels in Chapel Hill, N.C., on Nov. 29, to wrap up the regular season.
