Coleman, Sauder Garner Second Team All-America Honors at NCAA Championships

EUGENE, Oregon — University of Miami track and field’s Desmond Coleman and Kennedy Sauder garnered second team All-America honors in the discus and high jump Friday on day three of the NCAA Track and Field Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field.

Coleman earned his first-career All-American honors as he placed 11th in the discus with a throw of 58.58m, his second-longest throw of the season. After fouling on his first attempt, Coleman registered a mark of 56.04 before launching up the leaderboard on his final throw.

Sauder tied for 16th to register his third outdoor All-America recognition in his career as he cleared 2.10m on his first attempt.

As a team, the Hurricanes tied for 30th overall with 10 points.

Miami wraps up the meet Saturday at 9:10 p.m. ET as Christina Warren competes in the triple jump while Sanaa Hebron races in the 400m hurdles final at 10:27 p.m. before Hebron, Serena Tate, Gabriella Grissom and Alyssa Robinson close out the day in the 4x400m relay at 11:21 p.m.
