Miami Signs Transfer Ashleen Kaur

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Head golf coach Janice Olivencia announced Tuesday afternoon the signing of transfer Ashleen Kaur.

Kaur, a native of Houston, Texas, joins the Hurricanes after spending the previous two seasons at Baylor.

“Ashleen’s resume speaks for itself,” Olivencia said. “This is a big day for the program as we welcome a high-level, elite competitor who will continue our mission of becoming a consistent contender for championships. Ashleen is a force to be reckoned with and will make an immediate impact on this team, not only on the course, but also certainly as a positive influence and teammate.”

While at Baylor, Kaur totaled 11 top-25 finishes, 19 rounds of par or better and a stroke average of 73.92. As a freshman in 2023-24, Kaur recorded the third-best freshman scoring average in program history with a 72.82.

At the 2024 NCAA Championship, Kaur finished one shot out of a playoff for the final advancing-individual spot, concluding the tournament tied for 41st.

In high school, Kaur won the 2023 Annika Invitational presented by Roley, defeating 71 of the top female junior golfers in the world with an eagle on the finale hole. She was named to the 2023 Houston Chronicle All-Greater Houston Second Team and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Cy-Fair High School.

“We are excited for Ashleen to be representing the orange and green and to build her legacy as a Miami Hurricane,” said Olivencia.
