Masuhr Announces 2025 Schedule

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami soccer program and Head Coach Ken Masuhr have officially unveiled the 2025 schedule, as the Hurricanes will aim to build upon Masuhr’s first season at the helm of the program with a combination of strong returning players and promising new additions.

Miami’s non-conference slate features two preseason exhibitions and eight matches, five of which will take place at Cobb Stadium. The conference portion of the schedule consists of 10 games, six of which will come against teams that made the 2024 NCAA Tournament, including all four teams who comprised the 2024 Women’s College Cup.

Preseason

Miami will have two exhibition matches prior to their first official match of the season, both of which will be held at Cobb Stadium. The Canes will have their first action of the 2025 campaign on Sunday, August 3 when they will host Florida Gulf Coast. Miami is slated to play their second preseason exhibition against UCF on Friday, August 8.

Non-Conference Schedule

The Hurricanes will hit the road for their first two official matches of the season, beginning with a trip to Asheville, N.C., where they will take on UNC Asheville on Thursday, August 14. Following the contest against UNC Asheville, Miami will face Appalachian State in Boone, N.C. on Sunday, August 17.

Miami will return home for a five-game home stretch after taking on Appalachian State. The Canes will welcome Florida Atlantic to Cobb Stadium on Thursday, August 21 to begin the home stretch. Three days later, Miami will face Jacksonville on Sunday, August 24.

The Canes will return to the field on Thursday, September 4 when they are set to host the 2024 Ivy League Champions, Princeton. Miami will face another conference champion the following game, as they are slated to host the 2024 Conference-USA Champions, FIU, on Sunday, September 7.

After their first two ACC games of the season, Miami will complete conference play on Thursday, September 18, when they will travel to Richmond, Virginia, to face VCU.

Conference Schedule

The Hurricanes will face a loaded ACC schedule, as the strenuous and challenging slate will begin with a road-trip to face the reigning national finalists, Wake Forest, on Wednesday, September 10.

Miami will then return to Coral Gables to host Duke, a reigning national semifinalist. The Canes will face the Blue Devils at Cobb Stadium on Sunday, September 14.

Miami will play their final non-conference regular season game of the season the following Thursday at VCU, before heading to Louisville, Kentucky, to face Louisville on Thursday, September 25.

Two more road contests await the Canes following the trip to Louisville, as they are then slated to travel to Dallas, Texas to take on SMU on Sunday, September 28, before heading to Tallahassee for a matchup with Florida State on October 3.

A four-game homestand is next on the schedule for Miami, beginning with a contest against Syracuse on Saturday, October 11. Miami is then slated to host Cal on Thursday, October 16, followed by a match against reigning national semifinalist, Stanford, on Sunday, October 19. The Canes will play their final home game of the 2025 season on Thursday, October 23, as they will welcome the reigning national champions, North Carolina, to Cobb Stadium.

Miami will close out the 2025 regular season on Thursday, October 30 with a trip to Blacksburg, Virginia to face Virginia Tech.

The Hurricanes had a promising campaign in Masuhr’s first season at the helm of the program, as they matched the most wins (5) that the program has had since the 2018-19 season, including a stretch of three consecutive victories to close out non-conference play which marked the program’s longest winning streak since 2017. Miami will now aim to build upon the 2024 campaign and compete in a loaded ACC.
