Hurricanes Selected to NCAA Lexington Regional

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami golf team will make its 30th NCAA postseason appearance in May as the Hurricanes earned a bid to the Lexington Regional, as announced on the Golf Channel Wednesday afternoon.

The ninth-seeded Hurricanes will travel to Lexington, Ky., for the 54-hole Lexington Regional May 5-7 at Keene Trace Golf Club.

This is Miami’s second consecutive regional appearance under head coach Janice Olivencia and ninth in the last 11 years (no regionals in 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic). The Hurricanes finished eighth at last year’s regional in Auburn, Ala.

Miami has tallied five top-five finishes this season, including a pair of wins in October at the Mercedes Benz Collegiate at the Hurricane Invitational. The Hurricanes checked in as the No. 54 team in the nation per Scoreboard following the 2025 ACC Championship.

The Lexington regional will feature seven top-40 teams and four conference champions. Miami’s fellow competitors are, in order of seed, #3 [1-seed] Florida State, #9 [2] USC, #15 [3] TCU, #22 [4] Vanderbilt, #28 [5] Kansas State, #34 [6] Georgia Southern, #40 [7] Pepperdine, #46 [8] Louisville, #60 [10] Western Kentucky, [11] Morehead State and [12] FDU.

There are six regional sites – Superstition Mountain G&CC, Gold Canyon, Arizona; Jimmie Austin OU GC, Norman, Oklahoma; Keene Trace GC (Champions), Lexington, Kentucky; Birdwood GC, Charlottesville, Virginia; The Rawls Course, Lubbock, Texas; and Ohio State University GC (Scarlet), Columbus, Ohio.
