CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami men’s basketball head coach Jai Lucas announced Friday the signing of transfer Tru Washington.
A 6-foot-4, 205-pound guard from Phoenix, Ariz., Washington joins the Hurricanes after spending the last two seasons at New Mexico.
“I am delighted to welcome Tru to our program as I have known him and his family since I recruited his relative TyTy Washington at Kentucky,” Lucas said. “His competitive spirit and proven track record of success align seamlessly with the values we want to uphold in our program. During his two years at New Mexico, Tru consistently contributed to the winning culture, and we know that will translate to here at Miami.”
